NJCAA Sport Committees  |  Directory

NJCAA Sport Committees are comprised of NJCAA Region Directors who oversee several responsibilities throughout the year. These duties include the oversight of national rankings, All-America selections, postseason seeding and at-large selections, and national championship obligations. 

Committee officers and members are elected on an annual basis by the NJCAA Men's and Women's Senior Leadership team. 

As part of the yearly sport governance process, each NJCAA Sport Committee held an initial meeting in February to review sport procedures, tournament format and discuss any proposed changes for the year.  Each Sport Committee will meet again in person at the NJCAA Convention in April to finalize any proposals, recommendations, or requests.  

The below table provides each Sport Committee's February meeting report along with the April meeting date, time, and agenda as the information becomes available.  

Any potential Sport Committee items that may require a vote during the meetings at the NJCAA Convention are reflected (at least as discussion items) in the minutes from the February meetings. The membership should review the minutes to further vet proposals and provide feedback. Feedback should be directed to the respective Sport Committee Chair.

The NJCAA Board of Regents will review Sport Committee proposals during their meeting at the NJCAA Convention.  The Sports Governance Committee will then review all proposals to evaluate and make recommendations to the Board of Regents in May. The Board of Regents will take final action on all Sport Committee items forwarded by the Sports Governance Committee during their June meeting. 

Note: Attendance at the NJCAA Convention governance meetings is expected for all NJCAA committee and council members.  There will NOT be any virtual attendance options or recordings available for governance meetings held at the NJCAA Convention.
